Austin Weekend

We left thursday for Lakeway! Stayed the first night in a cabin and friday thru sunday at Lakeway resort... We had a great time despite it raining on our lake and pool day. We did get to swim friday evening (Madd loved the waterfalls and he is kicking around so good in that water). I think dad was looking forward to fishing, maybe next time. My parents got in late friday night so really only got a full day there. Dad was selected to be on a jury for a murder trial, and it is interfering with life! haha. It's pretty intersting... he doesnt give up much information about it, so i have been following in the newspaper.
Ne who- Mimi and Papa drove to see us Sunday and we got to eat breakfast with em! Mimi loves to snap pic's on the sunday mornings that no one gets dressed to drive home. Since we didnt get to play outside, we did lots of eating!
Carlos n Charlies, iron cactus (time 2), iguana's etc...
We had a blast with Lyndi, I hope she gets to go on more vactions with us so i am not stuck with Kolton and Jimmy! They just think they are too hillarious... ok maybe they are a little funny?!


Ne who- I need to start unpacking and washing clothes.
Looking forward to relaxing at home ... We have family birthday's, and get to meet baby Matalin Robertson this week!

Noisy Baby

All I have heard out of Mr. Madden's mouth today is da da da da da... sounds way too close to Daddy. Despite my efforts to say mommy as many times as possible(EVERYDAY)- I havent heard the "ma" sound yet! DANGIT!!

Mother's Day!

Today I celebrated my very first mother day! Its crazy to think how much my life has changed since Madden entered my world. But i am not going to go too far because its already been a very emotional day. I love how at Stonegate they make ya cry right before they flip the lights on... and the days i cry im sure to see at least 5 people i know!


By the way... Thank you Mom and Cindy- we owe a lot of our own happiness to you guys. You have raised us to be God fearing individuals who LOVE family and what it means.


This week we got Madden's room painted, he swam for the first time in FREEZING cold water, we went to Tabatha aka Coach Jones' couples shower and got to see some old friends, had to get ANOTHER storage for all our crap, Sally took Madden's 6 month pics, oh and the BIG ONE- got the slide fixed!

Here's the story...
My mom had ordered an inflatable water slide, and Goose ane Marley (our well bahaved dogs) got a hold of it... UGH. So, for a pretty penny we were able to get it fixed just in time for summer!
Ne who- Im off to bed.. Madden has shots tomorrow and after reading Kelli's blog I'm not so sure im looking forward to going and waiting...

Ok, so...I either hear- WOW Madden looks exactly like Kolton and your dad, or he looks exactly like Jimmy?! So i thought it would be fun to post some baby pics of us...

Wink and more Madden!

We went to Wink last night to watch Lyndi's (Kolton's gf) one act play! It was GREAT! I got to see some old friends, thats always nice! Poor Jimmy had to sit outside during most of the play because we got a little worried Madden was going to be a little noisy. The lights on stage seemed to excite him and i was thinking any minute he is going to let out a scream, or a laugh... So better safe than sorry!
This is my last week of class and my BiRthDaY is this week! I am getting carpet for the ole bday, meaning, I need to paint Madden's room like TODAY!I shared a birthday with my dad's dad- Grandpaw Charlie, wish he and Mammaw were here to know Madden! Madden will be 6 months on April 27th! Where has the time gone?? He has started an army crawl; he hasn't picked himself up on his hands, just his forearms and legs. He face plants quite a bit and gets pretty frustrated!
Looking forward to May- Sally is taking some pics of Mad Boy, we are going to Austin for the state track meet and staying around barton creek, Summer class starts, and more housework!

Madden's first Easter!!

Enjoyed the long weekend... Saturday we painted eggs at both grandparents house. Early Sunday morning we hunted eggs. Madden was very interested in sticking them in his mouth! We had lunch at Justin and Kelli's and watched Jase and Kasen hunt for eggs. Wish the weather would have been a bit nicer this weekend, but i kind of enjoyed the rain! Last night I got Madden to bed early, watched a little tv with my brother, and wrote a paper... its very seldom we have down time around here! Ready to start the new week!!

Lil weekend away

Well this last weekend in Fredericksburg wasnt near long enough. We spent saturday shopping, eating, at wildseed farms, went to a music fest in Luckenbach (for maybe 30 min) ha, and went to the Auslander for more live music that evening. We wore Madden out- but he was the best baby, still smiling for everyone! He was called a pretty girl twice... yes he was wearing red, but do people not see his BLUE carseat, and BLUE blanket and diaper bag?? HELLO? Considering some of the drunken places we stumbled in, guess I cant complain. We went to a butterfly farm which was neat, seemed like Madden was watching them. My grandparents met us Sunday morning for breakfast. So we got to spend a couple hours with them Sunday!
Going to be a short week- only 2 days of school! Dad is going to Augusta this week for the Masters- i'm a bit jealous?!
I'm off to feed the lil one, get dressed, and get to work on 1 of 3 papers i need to write this week.
